Theatre Academy

NORTH COUNTY’S PREMIER THEATRE ACADEMY IS HERE!

CPAA is dedicated to high quality, well-rounded training in all genres of the performing arts. Classes for theatre students include acting skills and technique; vocal fundamentals; dance and choreography; and production experience.

The Academy: This musical theatre production is for 2nd-8th graders (approximately 7-14 years old) that focuses on the creative process of putting on a production. It is 4 hours per week, Mondays/Wednesdays (3:30-5:30) that culminates with an end-of-the session workshop performance to be held at CPAA. Students will rotate between classes focused on music, choreography, acting, and improvisation. Audition and casting will be held the first day of Academy rehearsal!

Scene to Song: Our Scene to Song classes are for performers who are looking for a low-commitment, 1 hour per week theatre class. This is a musical theatre-based class where students build their acting, singing, and dancing skills in a fun, supportive environment! Students will participate in a mock audition, learn theatre etiquette and technique, and rehearse a scene from a musical before transitioning into an upbeat musical number. The session concludes with a brief in-studio performance during the last 15 minutes of class, featuring sing-along vocals and musical theatre choreography.

Song to Stage: Our youngest performers (TK-1st Grades) can dip their toes into theatre through our 45 minute Song to Stage classes! Students will meet once a week and learn the basics of musical theatre dance! They will develop confidence and character all while learning dance skills, using imagination, and having fun! This class culminates in a final in-class performance on the last day.
